I am Denise Phillips, and this is my story

I began my homeschooling journey in 2002, with much trembling and trepidation.  Two of my daughters had IEPs in public school and I was unsure how or if I was up to the task.  One verse guided me during those first tumultuous years, “Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become "fools" so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness” (1st Corinthians 3:19, NIV).  Trusting God and putting His Word foremost in my school day, I set forth to train my children.

Today, I continue to homeschool my youngest daughter and attend college.  I have completed a degree in Christian counselling with a minor in special education from Liberty University and have finished a master's degree in educational psychology from Texas A & M.  My passion is to assist families succeed in their educational pursuits.
